Dear Friends, In January 2024, Chenda, a light and joy of our lives, was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer.
A PET scan for a severe cough revealed that she had cancer of the pancreas. The diagnosis shocked everyone, but it was seemingly at an early stage, as the cancer was isolated to the neck and adjacent arteries of the pancreas. Chenda is a woman of faith and a fighter and over the past few months, she underwent several surgeries, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and has weathered these physically and mentally taxing medical treatments with the support of her loving family. Despite her positive outlook from doctors, the cancer is aggressive and has metastasized. The continuing treatments, and the need to support Sophea’s mother have become extremely difficult. Chenda has touched so many lives through her dedication and service to others. Personally, Chenda has been a guiding force and an example of selfless giving and goodness throughout our lives. It is no exaggeration to say that we are blessed to have Chenda in our lives. Any contribution, no matter how small, will be immensely appreciated and will support Chenda’s treatment and her family. We are grateful for your donations, prayers, and positive messages during this difficult time.
I am Somnang and organize this fundraiser to help Tevy and her family with their medical bills.
Tevy needs your help, because she was diagnosed with malignant tumor on her spinal cord in August 2022. She went through a 10 hour surgery and had her spinal cord tumor removed. On November 8th she started chemotherapy to get the second half of the tumor from her shoulder removed. On April 3rd, after MRI her family heard the devastating news that she had the cancer back. She is scheduled to have a surgery on Friday, April 26th. Her family hope that with the money raised on Kind Us will help them with her medical bills. Please help this little angel beat her cancer and keep her in your prayer. Thanks everyone for all of your support.
Monk Bunna is a long-time monk and a retired school educator. He has spent over 30 years educating and supporting our youth.
In his role as monk, he also provides guidance and support to others in the community. Just as he has been there for others, we are hoping that now the community can come together to support him. On February 16, 2024, Monk Bunna was involved in a major car accident. He was hit from behind by a speeding truck while he was at a complete stop. His car was totaled, and he sustained multiple injuries, including fracture vertebrae and a severe spinal cord injury. We are tremendously grateful that he survived this accident. However, he requires extensive therapy and assistance navigating this huge change in his life. With hard work, he has made some progress and intends to continue working towards regaining his independence. Unfortunately, medical bills related to his initial stay in the ICU, surgeries, ongoing therapy, hospital transfers, and “board and care” expenses are mounting. We are asking for donations to help assist Monk Bunna with these expenses. Any donation—no matter the amount—are needed and will be greatly appreciated. All funds will go directly towards Monk Bunna’s care and ongoing medical expenses. We understand if you are unable to make a donation. If that is the case, we ask that you simply share this Kind Us campaign within your community. We thank you in advance.
