How Kind Us Works
Here’s how to run your campaign with Kind Us from start to finish.
Create your Kind Us account
No worries it’s 100% free. And it’s easy and secure. You need to enter your name, email address, and a password. Make sure you use an email address you can access to, because our team will send a verification email to confirm your email. The name you enter will be displayed publicly on the fundraiser page. If you don’t want to use your full name, whether for safety of personal reasons, you can create a username. Please be sure to enter your legal name when it comes the time to set up transfers.
Start your fundraising campaign with Kind Us
1. Set your campaign’s goal. Your goal amount should reflect how much you’re looking to raise. When settling your goal, keep in mind there will be a transaction fee per donation, so you may want to set your goal slightly higher than what you need. And remember these important things: you have the option to edit your goal at any time by contacting Kind Us support, you do not need to reach your goal to receive your funds, and your fundraiser won’t automatically end when you reach your goal. 2.Create your fundraiser’s title that is specific to your cause, using names or a call to action, for example, ‘Help Aceh’s victims from tsunami. And tell your thoughtful description of your cause and who will benefit from donations to it. If you’re raising money for someone else (the beneficiary), it’s a good idea to share how you know them. And to complete your fundraiser’s campaign, don’t forget to add a lively picture or video of your campaign. And you must make sure that you have the rights to post and share the photo or video. Kind Us will not be responsible for any damage coming from posting or sharing the unauthorized photo or video by fundraisers on Kind Us.
Receive confirmation
Once our team confirms your information, which usually takes two to three days, you will receive confirmation by email about your fundraising campaign being approved or not. We want to make sure there’s no fraud and the donations go to the right person.
Promote your campaign
The amount of funds you receive is largely dependent on the amount of people who see your fundraiser, so asking others to share through social media, over text, or just when talking to them can be incredibly impactful. It’s important to remember that people you know can help you reach your goal by sharing your fundraiser. Additionally, those who’ve already donated, or those who don’t have money to give right now, can support you on your fundraising by sharing. Sharing your fundraiser with your social network is often the key to success on Kind Us, because the more you share, the wider network of people will be for your donor. Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, YouTube, and Tik Tok are the most commonly used platforms for sharing, and they’re great way to get the word out. Remember, each platform has its own capabilities, so you should choose wisely which option you feel most comfortable with, but the important thing is to make sure you speak from your heart and explain why you need the money. But not everyone wants to use social media, and some people might prefer to be more personal in their fundraising. One of the best and more personal ways to share is to send your fundraiser link via email or text message to the people you know. When sharing via email or text with the link, it’s important to include a message why you’re raising funds and how much the campaign means to you.
Manage your donations
As a fundraiser: There’s no fee to start or manage your fundraiser. However, since we use PayPal, there is a 3rd party fee of just 5 % + $ 0.30 per donation is deducted. Other rates may apply, if you use a different 3rd party besides PayPal. You can track down and manage the donations you received by contacting Kind Us support. If you have any questions, you can contact us anytime and we will get back to you as soon as we can. As a donor: Thank you! Through your support to a Kind Us fundraiser, you have made a huge difference for someone in need. When you make a donation to a Kind Us fundraiser, the minimum donation amount is $ 2 and there is no maximum amount. You can donate from $ 2, 3, 6, 8, 10 and another amount as you wish. You don’t need to make an account in order to make a donation. You can do it anonymously and there is no additional fee. Post your updates
The update feature will connect your current and potential donors that involved in your fundraising campaign to your success and remind them of your need. The fundraisers can post an update as much as they want and thank for your contributors through Thank You form on Kind Us website.
