Hello Everyone! On behalf of Juan Silva's family, we are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of Juan Silva. Juan tragically passed away on April 7, 2024, while he was in his apartment in Singapore.
Juan untimely passing leaves behind his beloved wife, Beatriz, and their 2.5-month-old daughter. Tragically, he did not have the opportunity to hold his newborn daughter, as his family was planning to visit him in the summer. Juan was not just an accomplished scientist, but also a wonderful person loved by many. He was always cheerful and made everyone around him smile. He treated his friends with kindness, was respectful to his colleagues, and was always ready to help his lab mates. As a husband and father, he was loving and caring, and he cherished spending time with his family. He also deeply respected his parents and was a devoted son. Juan's positive attitude and kindness touched the hearts of everyone he knew, and his memory will continue to inspire us all.
Now, his family and relatives are faced with the heartbreaking task of arranging for his remains to be flown to Brazil to complete the funeral rites. During this difficult time, we are organizing this fundraiser to assist with the costs associated with transporting his remains to Brazil and ensuring that he receives a proper farewell.
