It means the world to us. As many of you know, three long months ago, our daughter, Jenny, was admitted to the hospital in Bangkok while on a vacation in Asia. Initially admitted for a flareup of an autoimmune disease, her condition triggered a cascade of other ailments. She has since been heroically navigating pneumonia, COVID, and blood clotting issues. Most recently, she experienced cardiac arrest, from which she is miraculously recovering. We are grateful beyond words to still have her with us. It has been a frightening and intense time, but as we all know, Jenny is a determined force of nature! Her parents are here in Thailand by her bedside, doing all they can to support her while she continues to receive essential care. Jenny is being treated at the world-renowned Bumrungrad Hospital, where her incredible care team has supported her around the clock. Everyday brings something new. As we’ve continued on this healing journey, there have been significant out of pocket costs due to her health insurance plan limits. Jenny also needs a surgery that insurance is deeming beyond coverage. After discussing it over the last few days, we’ve decided to create a crowdfunding campaign to help our family meet the costs necessary to ensure Jenny’s health and well-being. It never feels like an easy thing to ask for support. Yet we recognize that it’s at this juncture that the assistance of our beloved community can help provide us with the crucial help needed for blazing this trail of healing for Jenny. We do not doubt that with the proper care, medicines, and lots of love, Jenny will return to the strong, thriving, compassionate, and bright light she has been in so many of our lives!
